Just been offered a smoking deal on a set of Hope Mono M4's in red and need to make a decision very very soon... in about 3 hours

Are these much heavier than Juicy 7s and are they better or worse?

I have never tried a set but they get good mtbr reviews (as pretty much everything does on that site)

They would be for my Scott Ransom 10 and I weigh about 80kg and ride pretty much everything!

Any help or expeience with them would be greatly appreciated. :D

I am thinking of changing as I am slowly upgrading my Stumpy and would put the 7's onto that.

I would say the M4's are heavier, but more powerful

    EDIT

According to CRC, the Juicy 7 weighs 395g compared to 430g for the M4

    Cheers for that :D

Thats not really a massive weight difference, could probably lose that around my middle by giving up beer for a week!

Anybody actually use them? Any gripes? Support either way?

I've got 07 M4's on my Patriot and they have been awesome brakes on many a run.

I have the 08 Hope mono 4's on my Orange 5 AM and would not
    want any other braking system.

Stops you dead, saved my bacon many times and nice
to know you have these just incase you need them.

    Better than the Juicy

I had '06 mono m4's on my old cove. Superb brakes!

I've got Juicy 7's on my current bike and not had a problem.

The m4's look nicer imo 8)
