I'm thinking about swapping my XT Servowave brakes for a set of formula The One or Formula Oro.... does anyone have any feedback that might help.

I ride mostly in Kent but get over to wales on a regular basis.

Cheers

I have Formula Oro K18s, they're very good.

Don't quite have the modulation of my Juicy 7s, but good stopping power and less temperamental so far.

Do you not rate the new XTs? I'm not sure the Oros will be significantly better, dunno about The One though.

There is not a lot wrong with the xt's... but they are just don't have the wow factor of top kit... i just want the build my bike into the ultimate machine and i have given up drinking so have a bit of spare cash.... i'm also looking to change the wheels too... for something special

If you're doing it for bling value (and I fully understand and condone that approach :D ), do it. If it's for a functional upgrade consider whether the XT's really aren't up to the job. I personally prefer my XTs to my Juicy 7s, haven't had a chance to test the OROs though.

Unless you think your Xt's are rubbish, i cant see the point spending a few hundred £ just for the looks of different brakes

I actually think the XT's look better than Formula's anyway

Prehaps you would be better spending £8.99 on the book "Affluenza".

For my money the XTs look better, and the lightweight 5 spoke rotors are the 'blingiest' around.

Formula brakes are great i would suggest sintered pads for that extra bite. :)
The trouble with having an open mind, of course, is that people will insist on coming along and trying to put things in it.
