Should this have a spoiler warning or is it just a general comment?

PS Has anyone noticed how much he looks / sounds like Craig Charles?

Yeah yeah great and all that, but I reckon it will be his only win anyway ........

and that being his first of course, or was I dreaming throughout the Giro :D That was one hell of a finish make no mistake, the reaction of the *senior* sprinters afterwards is all you need to know.

I reckon he just needs to join Rock Racing and he'll be complete!

 Unfortunate sponsor on shirt. 'GUT'. Is that some sort of slimming pill?

Maybe his sponsor should have been "lazy on"!

He hardly blew them away, I've seen more convincing 'hell of a finishes'. But congratulations to him all the same.
I'd rather walk than use Shimano
  • Well he was still accelerating away from Hushovd, and Zabel, it doesnt get more comprehensive than that over such a long distance out as well.

    But alas no.......

Good finish to the stage I thought, made it look very easy, from a fair way back.

Boardman is a bit of a grumpy sod isn't he (If you saw the highlights programme with his and Imlach's enthusiasm)

Why would you think that ? He's faster than all the sprinters out there this year ?
Get him to the finish and unless he gets blocked - he's faster than the rest.

Convinced yet? You'd have to be a tabloid journo if not....

    A British success story....

I'm trying not to get used to the feeling for fear of future disappointment.

I'm not a great racing fan. I don't know all the riders these days, mainly because I don't take Cycling Weekly any longer and we don't have a TV but I do enjoy the Tour de France because I love France and its fantastic cycling opportunities..

However, I'm staggered at the number of negative comments about Mark Cavendish. He's a young man from the British Isles (not sure of the Isle of Man's status despite many visits for the TT) and he's actually winning against the very best pro cyclists in the world ... and still we get moans? Why?

I've never been a great fan of road sprinters (track's different) but I'm rooting for young Cav. I'd prefer it if he were a good climber or/and time triallist, but he's not, so I have to be pleased he's doing so well in hisnown discipline. I wish him and Bradley all the best for the Olympic Madison - their Worlds Championship ride was fantastic.
