Steerer tube 160mm

chorus of ruin

I’m upgrading my suspension from Dart 2s to something better, I've found a set of Air sprung Rock Shox Tora 318s that are at a bargain price. They have a steerer tube that has been cut to 160mm, basically what I need to know is is this long enough for a standard large mountain bike? I have a Pinnacle peak 3.0 in large. I'd just like to get a rough idea before I start taking my suspension off to measure it.
Are these a good fork to invest in?
Many thanks

have you measured your current steerer?
sounds a bit short to me.
and there is no standard size for a large frame as there are too many variables."Do not follow where the path may lead, Go instead where there is no path, and Leave a Trail."

Measure from the bottom of the headtube on your frame, to the top of the cap on your stem. If it's less than 160mm, the fork will work."Internet Forums - an amazing world where outright falsehoods become cyber-facts with a few witty key taps and a carefully placed emoticon."0

I have the same problem...I bought a Marzocchi fork and it's steer tube is shorter with 1 cm. What do you think, can I use it? Or can I solve this problem?0

Which fork is it and what is the serial number (etched onto the crown).
If the serial number starts with a number, and not the letter T, Windwave can replace the steerer for you."Internet Forums - an amazing world where outright falsehoods become cyber-facts with a few witty key taps and a carefully placed emoticon."0
