SRAM adaptor

Want to use a SRAM X9 front mech on my Cove Handjob. What are the adaptors like to convert to 28.6.frame tube?
Anyone used one or am I better off going for a Shimano with correct size as standard?

    well they work.

    and also consider many of the shimano mechs also use reducers now.
