How do you subscribe to a thread

Can someone please explain how I go about subscribing to a thread without actually posting to it or without having created myself. Sometimes there's an interesting topic going around and you would like to be notified of new replies but I have nothing really to contribute myself on it other than an inane "me to" which only clogs up the thread with useless info.

In other forums I can hit a subscribe to this thread button however I can't find anything like this on here.

    press the Watch this topic for replies link in the bottom left below the quick reply box.

    Thanks a lot I would never have stopped that. It has puzzled me since the site changed to this new format just never got round to asking before.
