Snapped spoke - Replace spoke or rebuild? (Or replace wheel)

Snapped a spoke this eve, turning into a road. No problems thankfully, just heard a noise and wheel started to rub on the brakes. Managed to stop imediately. Luckily just up the road from home :)

Anyway what would the best thing to do be, simply get LBS to replace spoke/true wheel or rebuild the wheel altogether? Or replace the wheel with something stronger...

It's a little ironic. I was looking at wheel upgrades today. Any recommendations for a fat git on a hybrid? (Trek 7.5FX with Bontrager SSR wheels at the moment).

    Probably just replace the spoke.

Where did it break? How old / what is the condition of the wheel?

Wheel is about 10 months old. Been strightened recently but it was only a minor wobble in it. Generally good condition :)

Well that's good - it makes it quite difficult to argue that the spokes in general need replacing - much more likely that a one-off failure has occurred.

...get the bike shop to replace the spoke and retrue the wheel. If it keeps happening, get a rebuild...if you want to spend money upgrade your wheels
...all the way...'til the wheels fall off and burn...
