Living in Altrincham at the mo and wondering if anyone know of any nearby trails. Looking for someone to ride with at delamere possibly too. Anybody. Been riding for about 8 months, Llandegla and Moel Famau in the clwydian hills. Thanks

    regular-ish rides on tuesdays, sometimes thursdays if you check the link in my sig.
    not so much of a weekend venue for me during the summer as travelling a bit further afield taking advantge of the glorious summer weather.

    tuesdays are 2-3hrs but can easily be cut short, & you're never really more than 20mins from the car if you park on Ashton road. (if you need to finish early)

    will post if doing a weekend ride in the next couple of months

    If it is just a local trail you want rather than a venue like Delamere you are right on the Trans Peninne Trail. It passes the bottom of Atlantic Street (straight down past B&Q etc). it goes out through Lymm and Warrington and is good for stretching the legs. Unfortunately it is dead flat (thats Cheshire for you) but you can put in a good workout and reward yourself with a pint in Lymm if you fancy a short ride out (only 7 miles from Alty) or at Fiddlers Ferry if you want to put a few more miles in.
