Hello, I wonderd if someone could help me.

Im having a problem with my Mongoose and to be honest its really really getting on my nervs.

everytime i pull the rear brake a HUGE vibration goes through the bike causing the frame to vibrate resulting in a massive squeel :?

The pads are new and the disc is clean.

What should I do to stop this vibration ??? :?

Any ideas welcome

Thanks
James

Are the rotor bolts and caliper bolts tightened properly?

why did you rub dirt on your brakes?

it causes more problems that it cures.

    What are the brakes.

what did you use to clean the rotor before fitting the new pads?

yeah if its a new bike..then bed your brakes in..a number of sharpe stops from a decent tilt. if you still got he problem..then also post up what make and model your brakes are.
  • @ j1mb0, I have been looking at the Mongoose Tyax Super 08 for £359, and see you have the same bike, but rather than start a new topic about it, what I wanted to know is, how much does the bike weigh, I can't find the weight details anywhere online, cheers.

you may have sintered your pads? Try running some sand paper over them and on the leading edge of the ceramic....worked for me!

Promax Q3's uses the same pads as the Avid Juiceys, i assume bedding brakes in is cycleing arround with the brakes on ?

beding in is NOT riding around dragging the brake. the best way is to just get out there and ride the bike.

have a look at the juicy manual as it shows easily how to remove the pads.

The brake pads are NOT budging. Ive read the manual and its the way i have been trying to remove them, the caliper is too small to allow the pads out without damaging
