Cracked Sidewalls - Safe?
is it ok to ride tyres with small cracks in the sidewalls? its a set of conti GP4000s that only have around 1000km in them. its almost like a superficial crack in the surface of the sidewall as it hasnt cracked all the way through to the other side. Do tyres normally do this?

Yeah I'd have no worries using them so long as the rubber isnt perished. Those are newish tyres - so you should be fine.
If you have a spate of punctures - I'd ditch them though - but I dont think you will have this problem yet.0 -
keep an eye on them... I had a tyre partially go, it felt like I was going over bumps. I stopped and had a look and it was swelling a treat, got myself home carefully and binned itPurveyor of sonic doom

It's very unlikely to fail catastrophically but do keep an eye on it.0

I had GP4000's. Very dissapointed. I got rid of them and now use PRO 3 race. Much better.
