SXC - Fort William Transport (27th July)

Hey guys,
This is a message sent out in hope more than anything else.
I plan on entering the next sxc event in Fort William, but sadly have no means of transport on the day from Glasgow or Edinburgh.
I am truly useless. I had thought that i would take an early train around 8am and arrived for 12pm, giving me two hours to get set for the race - not ideal but better than nothing.
Having checked with Scotrail, there are only two trains going up on the 27th from Glasgow/Edinburgh, and the earliest leaves at 12pm (arriving at 4pm i.e. more useless than me).
So, my question is going out to anyone entering that event from Glasgow/Edinburgh (or within commuting distance of them), who might have a little space for one person and a bike.
Many thanks in advance for any assistance.
Note to self - must learn to drive!

Oh, it goes without saying that i would be more than willing to contribute to the costs of transport, lunch, petrol etc.
Not looking for a free ride if that helps.0
