It was always going to be pro-Lance but it was pretty interesting, especially from a technology/engineering point of view.0

Excellent although I only saw half of it0

Didn't get in 'til 9 last night. Any sign of it being repeated?Current steed is a '07 Carrera Banshee X
+ cheap road/commuting bike0 -
Largely scripted by Disney I suspect, and certainly had to be approved by lance and his legal team. Lance's physiology is not particularly different to that of any other tour rider (unlike Lemonde), he was just very well prepared by Dr Ferrari.
His narcissism it world class however.Dan0 -

Watched it yesterday and it wasn't too bad (bit reminiscent of all those rather bland US documentary series on Discovery and similar satellite channels, mind), though in the same time slot next Monday is a programme on Boardman's "Athlete's Hour" record attempt, which I've a feeling I'll enjoy more.

Some of it was cheesy to say the least. Loved the line, to paraphrase, "science cannot explain why lance has such a high lactic acid tolerance" :shock:0 -
One for Lance-worshippers and the great US public who've never seen a bike race, I'm afraid.
Still, ignore Lance and get an insight into the technology from Hed and so on and it was interesting.0 -

True - as someone who owns, but isn't fully aware of the ins & outs of the manufacturing process behind, a carbon bike, the segment involving the Trek factory, with the templates, raw materials, layering-up of moulds and shots of finished but untrimmed frame components, was interesting.
