Evening all
I am in the process of repairing / doing up my Hardrock sport, I want/need to change the cranks and bottom bracket I need some help / advise on the following -

The shell width taken from the old BB is 68, and I wish to fit an octalink shimano LX crank, therefore I need an octalink BB, all the websites state that I need a BB that is 121mm long for best chain alignment, is this true for all frames ???
Many thanks
Mark :D

Same one I have, this crankset specifically needs the 121mm BB. It is a function of this chainset, not your frame (to give a specific chainline).

The 68mm you refer to is the shell width of the bottom bracket. make sure you get the 68mm and not the 73mm.

And a great choice of crank!
