Hi There,

Chain reaction cycles have alot of discount on these frames, anyone got any feeback on them, was looking at the ellipse in particular.

Cheers

They were very popular a few years ago when the company was still going and selling well by all accounts. Thin walled aluminium frames by all accounts but still good value for money. I was quite bemused by the number of different models Chain Reaction have got have to say, but I would say quite a bargain if that is what you want, all built in 04 or 05,

I'm sure these are the last of the last in the UK for these frames.

I;ve got one of the AS frames with mudguard eyes - good frame with a very hard anodised finish - the race frames had a reputation for being very stiff but not the most comfy.

it's a hard life if you don't weaken.

Well the frames I last saw from them where carbon. IIRC the name was brought out by people based outside of Denmark, who began to put the Principia name on Carbon frame.

The original Principia frames are good IME, very light and stiff. HOWEVER, they are thin walled and my nice (relegated to training) frame has a very large dent in it from a crash at about 20mph (handlebars hit the top tube)

I didn't think they were still in business. And as I already stated they are thin walled alu frames.

BTW, is it OK to ride a dented alu frame...I don't really have any money for a new training bike
