I've tried the search tool but to no avail

Anyone any tips for removing the pads out of carrier - the manual says they just slide out apparently!!!! As this is a complete lie and they're not shifting, I'm wondering how other people remove them???
Has the head wind picked up or the tail wind dropped off???

You put a thin screwdriver in the open end between the block and the holder and lever it out. You then slide the new one in after applying a bit of soapy water to the section of the block that will be concealed by the holder.
I'd rather walk than use Shimano

    Done!!! :D

In the words of Shaking Stevens - Lovely stuff.

I was a bit afraid of damaging the housing, but once you get the old pad out you see that they're quite a solid piece of alloy

    Thanks for your help

What you can do is to put the brake pad only into a vice, parallel. Gently tighten it.
The pad holder will then slide off as the pad is being compressed. You can do the same thing when fitting new pads. I think you can even get shimano pads to fit this way!
