Cyclist dies after collision

This happened less than a half a mile from where I live but only found out the barest facts as of 7pm.
Cyclist deaths are very rare down this way, but like most places there has been a large increase in cycling especially at the weekends. The A379 is a fast windy and in places narrrow A road which together with the increased holiday traffic is IMHO best avoided.
It doesn't mention the mini roundabout off the A379 to the swans nest pub but this may be a factor because cars rarely slow down for it and traffic from the swans nest is light.

I've not previously thought of that roundabout as too bad. It said on the late news that there were two cyclists, and one of them got too close to the other and lost control, possibly ending up in the path of the car.0
