10sp Shim wheels with 9spd Campy?

I have just upgraded the 10 spd shim wheels on my best bike and want to use the superceded pair on my winter bike which is 9spd campy and whose wheels are getting manky.
What's the cheapest way to fix this? Can you get 9spd campy spacing on a cassette that will fit a 10spd Shim freehub? Will it cost so much that I might as well buy some new 9spd Campy wheels anyway?
Your thoughts would be appreciated

So you're looking to run a 9 speed Campagnolo-spaced cassette on a Shimano 10 speed freehub? The cheapest solution would be to take a Shimano 9 speed cassette, remove the securing screws and spacers and fit the right thickness of spacers to suit Campagnolo 9 speed. If you look on www.sheldonbrown.com he has lots of info on sprockets and spacer thicknesses etc. Mavic make spacer kits, as do Marchisio - Highpath engineering would be able to help with the spacers for about £15. A more expensive option would be to go for a Marchisio custom cassette.
Make mine an Italian, with Campagnolo on the side..

it would help to know what your wheels and cassette models are on both bikes. Most shimano cassettes use carrier sprockets now which have fixed spacing.
As I understand this you have a winter bike with 9 speed campy which you want to fit a 10 speed shimano freehub rear wheel to. yes

As monty says a nice solution would be to space the shimano cassette sprockets at the same spacing as campag 9 speed. Its not that easy unfortunately as campag spacing is not uniform throughout the cassetes
    these links might help

You can either buy the spacers at Branford Cycles or you can get them made out of aluminium tubing at your local engineering shop. Internal dia is 35.4mm ext not important
Or you could take your Shimano spacers and get them faced down to campag size at your local engineering shop.
If the last three shimano sprockets are on aluminium carriers you will need to source some loose sprockets from a non carrier cassette .I think Tiagra have no carriers

Yup - didn't clarify the need for a cassette that can be broken down into individual sprockets. From memory, Miche and BBB cassettes feature individual sprockets too.

its a nightmare isn't it. i've just wasted another hour trying to find a way of spacing a 10 speed campy cassette to shimano 10 speed spacing so I can use a Campy wheel with a shimano STI setup . makes my head explode.
