well as there does not seem to be a webby with that address....

dont forget any products bought from the US need import tax and VAT adding to the purchase price. and there is likely to be no warranty except with the selling store.

  • Hi, that site appears to operate in much the same way as a typical fake site operating advance fee fraud, namely, no physical address or phone number for contact, they accept Western Union and MoneyGram, and use free email addresses.

I see sites like this all the time in my other passion which is called "scambaiting", usually, the fake sites are selling electronic goods, and I find it no coincidence that on the bike website listed above, on their webpage, it says:

    Company under licensed number(RC43215)

If you Google that company information text and number, you get these results:

    http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&clie ... %28RC43215

Or just use RC43215 and get these:

    http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&clie ... rt=10&sa=N

Here is an example of the same company number being used, note the UK address in the Republic of Georgia :

    http://www.sulekhab2b.com/viewoffer/sel ... b-5mp-.htm
Company Name:PETER & SONS LIMITED Address:22 STANHOPE ROW, MAYFAIR, LONDON, W1J 7BT Republic of Georgia REGISERED NO:04098388 .Legitimate registered Company under licensed number(RC43215).

Many serial scammers and spammers use the same "registered Company under licensed number(RC43215)" in the spam posts, that offer a wide range of products including phones, tv's and other electronic goods, which are also scams based on advance fee fraud, ie, paying for non existant goods in advance.

I have reported the site to their abuse team, Freeservers are usually pretty fast to act in closing fake sites down, of which many have been hosted on their servers.

    [edit]

they also used to go by another name with a different website, also hosted by Freeservers, which is now dead:
    www.bikeworldstore.itgo.com

    [edit]

I found another site on which their spam was posted in a foreign language, but interestingly, they give their address as being in Ikeja, Florida, strange that Ikeja is a city in Nigeria, also, the zip code is fake, all Florida zip codes begin with a 3:

    http://www.solostocks.com/123456/empresa_1132140.html
    1004 TALL MALL STREET IKEJA
    10001 - FLORIDA
    Cáceres - España

Most obvious to me is that legitimate companies do not have, we are legitimate company, as their opening statement!
  • www.eurobikeministore.itgo.com has now been killed , let me know if you come across any more fake sites like that.
