Replacing 1992 Vintage Campy Record Double Bottom Bracket

After reading all the posts throughout the internet, I am more confused than ever. So the direct question is: What type of new bottom bracket do I get to replace my old 1992 Campy Record Bottom Bracket. Old bottom bracket is a Record (Delta Brakesets era) that is a symmetrical 111mm square taper on an double chainring crank. (Italian threading) Will the new Chorus triple 111mm bottom bracket work? If not, what can I replace it with that will that will address the chainline issue correctly? Thanks everybody, I need to get riding again.

you could probably use anything 111 mm.
i have in the past used 111 mm athena, 109 mm token and at the moment have a 109 mm shimano un 72
but then again i'm not one to measure the chain line, as i don't think it is soooooo relevant.
as long as it looks about right and works - then i'm happy0 -
I am not too sure if anything 111mm will work, symetrical/asymetrical, there is not much room between the crank arms and the bottom bracket. It seems that all discussion revolves around how to convert to a triple. I just want to restore my old GIOS to its former riding glory with the big grinding double chainring. It seems that if it is asymetrical, the left crank arm will be loose or hit the frame while the right will have a huge gap.0

Although Campag and Shimano both make square taper B/B's they are not interchangable. The degree of taper is different and the cranks will not seat properly on the wrong one.0

My C-Record crank has been running on a 111mm Athena cartridge bracket since the dawn of time with no problems....you can have quite a decent set up if you find a Centaur bracket from 2005 to present which uses a hollow axle rather than the AC-H's solid axle.I'd rather walk than use Shimano0
