I am considering having a bash at the 25km mini marathon class at Penrith in Sept ( yes i know  ... wimp...but i'm a newbie:lol:)
Is it mainly kids who enter the Mini Marathon or are there adults in that class too?
Can't find the info on their website and i don't want to enter a class full of kids and get whupped by them

there is a variety of levels in all distances the fastest in the 25k are fast but there,s lots of newbies and people for the riding and day out .when i did my first one i just did the 50k the trail is more technical and the downhills fantastic if its dry.go for the 50 it doesn,t matter where you finish just take it easy and save energy for the end you,ll love it .

he,ll be fine get him to enter the 5ok you can always downgrade to the 25k when the course splits thats the beauty of it you can change course if you need to .if you need any help with him i,ll be there and can help him with set up of his bike and tactics to make it easier .dont get me wrong it will hurt but it will make him a much better rider .the first one is always the hardest after that you,ll wonder what all the fuss is about.

Go for the 50k at least to make most of your money.

Plus from now until September you have enough time to train.
