Buying a road bike

Being new to road bikes.I want to buy a road bike to train on and get fi.Hope to build up to do long rides.I plan to be measured.But my local bike shop who will measure me have the following bikes made up.Cinelli unica and a touch cheaper a Ridley Pave.I would like some advise please on wether either bikes are any good.I think they are both last years models price is £975 and £600 for the ridley.
