Hello,

just ordered one of these bikes and have read on a couple of reviews that the wheels aren't that good.

Just wondering if anyone else owns one of these road bikes and what their opinion on the wheels are, have looked at some reviews which don't rate the wheels as good.

I dont own a 2008 Roubaix, mine is a couple of years old, but I read similar reviews to you when i was considering which bike to buy.
I did change the wheels to Mavics after about 12 months and honestly believe there was an improvement in the ride.
I only changed up to Mavic Aksium so there was no huge financial outlay.

Would you say it is more a tyre problem or deffo the wheels. what is the overall performance of the bike like regardless of the wheel/tyre problem.

I kept the same tyres at the time of the wheel change so any differences would of been down to the wheel i guess.
The bike seemed more responsive to me.
The Roubaix is a great bike, I changed from a Bianchi Via Nirone to the Roubaix and the big difference to me was the comfort factor, being able to do longer rides in much more comfort.
Mine is soon to be relegated to my commute/filthy weather/turbo trainer bike but I don't regret buying it one bit.
I know there are other Roubaix owners on this forum who I am sure will second this.
