G'day, My new Rocky Ridge has about 150 km's on it and the bottom bracket is starting to creak, When dismantling the BB are the left hand allen bolts ( 10mm outer plus the 8mm inner) regular or left hand thread, just so I dont destroy them in the process, and what should I do after that....
Thanks

G'day Nick damn your fast.
Bought the bike here through Cykelnetto online so I dont believe they have a workshop per say.
They are quite good though as the front deraileur needed replacing out of the box and they sent up a new deraileur without looking at the old.
Have just looked at the Parktools site and it gave much more info that their book.
As for the creaking is it normal due to the BB threads needing to be properly greased and torqued down again, as it hasn't been ridden in the rain but was hosed off (not with high pressure) last week. Surely the bearings are protected against garden hose pressure!!
Thanks

I had the same problem with my Giga Pipe BB. However I eventually tracked the creak down to the rear air shock and it's mounting (next to the BB). I know your bike isn't full suspension but it's worthwhile bearing this in mind and checking every thing else (saddle, pedals etc) before you commit yourself to stripping down the BB.
