Grinding noise from the rear..

Hi,

I have a 2007 Trek 8000, now when i put it on the biggest cog it makes a sort of grinding noise especially under accelarating.

I originally thought it would be dirt and grit so I've had the jockey wheels off the derrailer and repacked them with grease, cleaned the chain/cassette etc but it still does it.

Any ideas?

    What chain ring do you have it on? Maybe the chain is at such an extreme angle it is rubbing on the front mech?
