Spesh Stump Elite + Pikes ?

Would RS pikes be suitable on a Specialised stumpjumper Elite fsr ?

I know the Stumpy Elite is a 120 travel xc/trail bike just wondering if the pikes with the through 20mm axle would work ?

    Hi Paul

    As Pikes are 140mm as opposed to the 120mm that you have on the Stump they will change the geometry and hence the handling of the bike. However if you get Pikes with adjustable travel you can wind them down to 120mm.

    As the Pikes have a 20mm through axle you will also have to get a wheel with a hub designed for a 20mm axle.

    07 Stumpy FSR Elites came with 140mm Fox Talas forks, which year are talking about?

    Its an 08 stumpy elite. Fox RL's are 120 i think.

    I have a 08 Stumpy and have just put (yesterday) Fox Talas with 15mm front hub on and it feels alot better sorted than my old forks. I will keep them at 120 unless im doing any kind of DH/Steep stuff.
