What's the best method for protecting a steel frame from rusting. I've read somewhere about spraying or pouring something into it - any suggestions what?

Waxoyl now do a liquid spray, which is good for bikes, but my personal favourite is ACF-50:

Fort (now known as Intec) used linseed oil to coat the innards of their steel frames. Seems to have worked OK on mine.
