anyone had any problems getting the speed sensor to work on a carbon frame-just got a new Cervelo RS-nice!-and I can't seem to get a connection with the watch unit-the light in the sensor flashes when it passes the sender on the wheel-any help gratefully recieved-the unit is a 720

Is the sensor on the front or back wheel? If the back, you need to boost the signal. There are instructions on Polar's website to do this.

I'm using an S710 on a full carbon bike and not having any problems - then again the sensor's mounted on the fork. Not convinced you'll get it to work on the back wheel even if you put it on max power - I think I've got mine boosted just where I have it on the fork!

I use the 725 and have the speed sensor mounted on 3 full carbon bikes. No problems all on front fork.
