    Hi Steve,

Dalby forest is nearby if you have transport, although I hear it gets a bit congested on the trails these days.

There's a few fairly short trails in & around Raincliffe woods/Forge valley area. Used to be able to ride along the cliffs from Scalby Mills to Burniston..

I think theres some stuff out towards Harwood Dale which is in ridable distance but I don't really know it.

Theres the old Scarborough to Whitby railway track, but thats pretty much flat walking trail (although good for a fitness or leisure run with a pint at the Hayburn Wyke!)

Otherwise you probably need transport or be willing to ride a good bit on the road first.
