Morzine Bike Hire

Ok, booked the holiday to Morzine to experience some fun biking (I hope!).

Anyway, I was after an honest opinion about bike rentals.

I can book online obviously, but I was wondering if the prices are cheaper than on the day, or if they are likely to run out of bikes?

I see dertmtb.com have x-country trance 3 for £40 per day.... or theres some kona bike for like £80 per day.

Im not sure what I want... I want to try some downhill stuff and not shake myself to bits! Im also 6ft 5" .


If i just arrive at Morzine, are there likely to be decent bikes to rent withou pre-booking?


Obviously im not asking the companies themselves as they will most likely suggest I book!

if you prebook you know you have a bike to ride.

never been to mor but was in whistler early this year now granted it was the week of the season and still very quite but there were loads of shops renting bikes there were 100s if not 1000 of rental bikes jotted around the village various makes to.

i am prety sure it would be a simlar set up in morzine but rember its going to be super busy as its peak season,..

as for what bike it really depends on what type of terrain you want to ride if its big mountain terrain then i'd go for a down hill bike or at least a bike with 6 inch of travel.
