Hi All
New to this so excuse mistakes!
I am relatively new to road cycling and have recently been steeping up the routines- have joined a club and am doing regular 40-50 mile saturday runs.
I get pain in both knees at about 40 miles.Have used ice/ibuprofen etc.
Someone suggested saddle might be too low??
Would be happy if someone could advise

Saddles are also adjustable back and forth. Ideally, this adjustment should be made to set the saddle at the correct distance behind the bottom bracket, so that you are pedaling at an efficient angle. The conventional wisdom is that, when the pedal cranks are horizontal, you knee cap should be directly above the pedal spindle.0
