What does suspension corrected for 85mm travel geometry mean

What exactly does this mean? Which angles are affected?
I'm looking for a 700c disc specific fork and have seen some e.g. Salsa CroMoto which might be suitable, apart from the afore mentioned statement.

    A crown race remover won't work as the fork crown is too wide for it to fit (the crown is way wider than the race) .
    Short of being brutal, how is the crown race removed?

    point one.the fork is suitable for a frame designed to work with a suspension fork designed to be run at 85mm of travel.
