Carbon seatpost stuck in a frame!

I'm posting on behlaf of a friend who's carbon seatpost (as you can tell from the topic title) is stuck in his frame. Now, given that I've never been in this situation I thought it best to ask you guys.

Any tips will be greatly appreciated.
