    Don't think it's a cross bike, I vaguely remember this bike being built (spent too much time in Tony's kitchen). Tony was a big fan of cantilever brakes because they were powerful and light and he encouraged a lot of his clients to have them. The other giveaway is that the frame has down-tube gear-lever bosses – not something you'd want on a cross bike.
