Vaujany 2008

Fine weather in the Alps yesterday with a week until the Marmotte, and the 109 kilometre Vaujany event. I had planned to ride the full event, but my little one was dancing in the afternoon. The last climb to Vaujany is steep so I have no idea how I'll make it up the Alpe d'Huez next week.
Great views, nice course and quite a few Brits around. I filmed the event.

Remember the high quality video option.

I preferred this event to the Marmotte the year I rode both, and with the option for the shorter course there's scope for friends/partners who don't fancy the full 170 km to join in.
Vaujnay is hard to climb to at that time of day -- the heat is reflected off the walls on the corners like a furnace and it's steep and twisty in places. The women's races use it instead of Alpe d'Huez.0 -
