Karbona Frame
As previously posted i was going to do a new build with an orea orca carbon frame but the frame is a bit over my budget.
I've now seen karbona full carbon frames available for £500. Is it correct karbona make carbon frames for other bike manufacturers??
How good is the karbona full carbon frame?

I assume these are the ones on Ebay? The only thing I know about them is the same seller advertises on one the time trial forums for £450. I can't find the forum though.0

I would go for a Pedalforce, they're frames are top notch. My ZX3 rocks... And given shipping and tax it will cost about the same. Please look at my handmade cycling cufflinks0

Too much Bul...t written about Chinese carbon.
Who else has labour cheap enough to hand build these at affordable prices.
I'm so sick of the snobby rubbish people come out with comments with no real knowledge. I don't earn millions and don't have loads of spare cash. I can't afford to nip down to the local bike "Boutique" and drop £1500 plus on the latest piece of carbon art, but I still want one.
The only realistic option for me was to go "EBay Carbon" so I did!
I started with a Carbon fork bought new for £60 and fitted it to my hybrid (ex Claud Butler MTB with 700c and Shimano Tiagra/Ultegra groupset). It took my 250lb fat man weight to work every day, all winter through British pot hold cycle lanes, around 100 miles a week.
Still got questions about strength?
Confidence high, I bought this on Ebay (The item is not listed any more, but the seller still going strong and you can still see what I got. look for item description 300670560182.) A full frame and forks, 3K weave (looks so sexy naked) with integrated cable ways.
Now the punch line.
This is possibly the loveliest, smoothest naked flat bar road bike in Surrey UK!
I've covered around 500 mile this summer on 30 Mile fast Sundays. Hit the odd hole in the road and still putting my ex rugby player 18 stone weight/power through the cranks. Over the last three years I've snapped 3 chains on other bikers (now use the gears better), yet this frame takes it all. Its light strong and gorgeous!
The whole bike with Shimano Ultegra group set and a selection of new & second hand gear carefully selected, cost me around £700 to build (not including wheels).
If you got the dough, go give it to Speciliazed, Biancha and the others. They deserve their profit for the testing and service. Me? I'm now riding my own bit of art, instead of just dreaming of it.
Happy riding and maybe see some of you at the top of Box Hill
