Bontrager Select wheels - rim-wear/indicators?
I have a set of Bontrager Select wheels- they aren't that old, got them on a bike February last year. The wheels have performed very well for me over that period. I am now looking to sell them due to upgrades but am not sure about rim wear on the front wheel- obviously I don't want to sell them on if there is a problem. There is a very clear rim-wear dot on either side of the rear rim at the valve hole but I can't for the life of me find one on the front. Like there is NO sign that there was ever anything there. Feeling the rim the front is definately more worn than the back (as you would expect) but I am unsure whether it is problematic. Any way to tell? Had them in a bike shop only a month or so ago, transferring all the components onto a new frame, and he didn't pass any comment.

Although, I'm not trying to sell my bicycle, I have the exact same question. I've put an inquiry directly to Bontrager's website so I hope to receive an answer. I presume that if the hole is there the wheel should be replaced, is this right?0

I brought them down to my LBS in the end- they reckoned that there was a fair bit of wear but "I've certainly seen worse" and that there would be a fair few miles left in them yet. They suggested that it wouldn't be a good idea for a heavier rider or to go to very high pressures though.0
