Yesterday I was to the capital city to buy my self a new bike. I've looked, Avalanche 2.0, Scott Aspect 55/50 and RAM Ht1(just frame and other components). 80% is certain that I'll buy the RAM so I'm going next week again, when the rest of the components arrive.
The good stuff is that, when the bike is assembling in the shop I can choose which parts to be mounted on it, so it's like I'm getting a custom bike, for the price of a factory one. :D

And, I've tested,well not tested but...I've rode a bike with Tora 318 U-turn with Juicy 3 203mm on front. Yes!!!!!!!!!!!! :D:D:D

Well, when I buy the bike, when the rest of the components arrive,
from Wednesday, Thursday probably. Then I'll be even happier. :D

Just one question, the bike comes with Dart 1 so is it worthed to
replace it with Dart 2? What's the difference between this forks, exept
the adj. rebound, and probably the weight of the Dart 2. Anything else?

A lot of difference - the Dart 2 has damping, the Dart 1 has none at all. Still not a great fork, but not much else around at this budget. Out of interest do you have the full specs for the bike?

    Yes. Spec:

    Fork: Rock Shox Dart 1
    Crank: TruVativ X-Flow PS 3.0 42-32-22
    BB: TruVativ PowerSpline
    Cassette: SRAM PG-830 8 speed
    Hub F/R: Formula FCM-Cartridge bearings
Rim F/R: Mavic XM 117 Disc Black
Spokes: DT Swiss Stainless 2.0mm Silver
Brake F/R: Avid BB5 160mm mech. disc brake
    Levers: Avid FR5
    Shifters: SRAM SX-4 Trigger shif.
    Front der: SRAM 3.0
Rear der: SRAM SX-4 long cage
    Seatpost: TruVativ XR Singleclamp 27.2
    Stem: TruVativ XR 31.8
    Bar: TruVativ XR Riserbar 31.8
    Tires F/R: Maxxis High Roller 26 x 2.10

Maybe I've missed something but that's not very important.
I'm thinking of choosing Dart 2 and shorter stem, DH one, when is building at the shop.
Anything else you don't like it, just tell. Price, around 350£.

I think a DH stem will hake the steering WAY too quick. They are designed to be used with slack DH bike angles, not tight XC frame angles. Fork is the only obvious weak point - the Dart 2 will be much better!

Well, if I can afford the Dart 2 I'll take it, and the stem I'll think about it.
I can afford even a Dart 3 but I want to buy some protection, gloves and
fullface helmet, but the helmet could wait. :)
