Help on measuring WATTS?????

im looking into training by watts and have viewed srm etc. but am enquiring is there any form of watt measuring device in the form of a turbo trainer????. as a few years back at a bike training camp one of the coaches was doing tests using a turbo trainer style device except it had a cassette on it and you removed your back wheel mounted your bike onto it and it measured watts. any help on this would be great as im interested in finding something like this.

    there are some turbo trainers that measure power, tacx make some.

    i know you mentioned srm cranks, have you considered a powertap? can be had for a few hundred quid second hand
