Can someone settle a argument for me .
A colleague at work rides an 04 carrera vulcan . His forks have expired , to be honest they probably weren't much good to start with.
He seems to think that he needs 80mm travel forks as a replacement , not even sure why he's bothering , it's hanging . But there you go .
I think they were 63 mm forks . He said he asked at halfords and was met with the all to common vacant stare . And the answer of i don't know.....
So who is right 63mm or 80mm .
I'll gradly accept defeat if i'm wrong . Graciously of course .

so what were the forks?"Do not follow where the path may lead, Go instead where there is no path, and Leave a Trail."

Not sure. think they may be a suntour offering . would it have them stamped on them somewhere ? These forks are in a hell of a state , and any labelling has long since gone .0

if you (he) still has the fork measure the length of the staintions that are visible. make sure the fork is fully extended."Do not follow where the path may lead, Go instead where there is no path, and Leave a Trail."

On that bike 63 or 80mm forks will be fine.0
