Events in Yorkshire area

Hi there im new to the site, i have a stumpjumper comp and would like to start doing some events i was wondering if anybody knows of any events i dont mind driving to them but dont fancy going too far (im in Leeds).

Im doing an event called the pennine x

    In September around Holmfirth think it is called the holmevalley mtb marathon.

    I'm doing the Pennine X as well mate. (I'm from Huddersfield)

    Did you do the CVMBC? That was pretty good :D

    I've heard of the Pennine challenge but can't find any info about it! I'm in N. Yorks so would be interested if I knew what it involved (when, how far, who can do it etc!). Could you tell me or send me a link to some info?

    No i didnt do the CVMBC i saw the website two weeks late never mind.

    I would of done the Hit the North but im on holiday never mind

    Iv found another one called "The original Holme Valley mountain bike challenge" might give that a go, has anybody done that one? (www.bikechallenge.co.uk)
