Non-slip pedals

I use folding pedals and either wear ordinary shoes or bike shoes.

When I ride in the rain I find that my pedals become very slippery and it is a bit scary when my feet and the pedals are no longer connected. It is only by force of will that most of the time my feet stay where they should.

Are there any non-slip pedals around? Or is the only solution to have pedals which clip to the bottom of bike shoes? (I haven't tried these - are they difficult to learn to use?)

Thx for any help.

My old flat bar came with normal flat pedals with some kinda foot hook/clip on the end, I found these to be annoying as you only get the downstroke putting out power. Since then i've used Look Keo pedals (clipless ie, clicks into the pedal with a cleat on the sole of your shoe, bit of a confusing term tbh) which I find easy to use. You also get more efficent power transfer as you can pull up with one leg as well as push down with the other, not something you can do with unfastened pedals. The first few times using clipless can be a little un-nerving but in the end becomes second nature, give it a go..
