rc is race which is a lighter version of the cc which is for trial, am is all mountain, which is just a lighter version of the fr which of course is free rise. st stands for, well, i don't know.... but is warrantied for forks upto 200mm.

no other parts got skimped on, but your right, the front mech doesn't mater, the hone mech isnt even new just one i had, no one looks at it or see its, weight doesnt matter and it hasnt missed a shift yet.
should be built up by early next week......:)0
