Yes,thats right, my left crank arm just dropped off on a ride today.
I got a genesis core 20 in jan and i knew all about checking nuts & bolts after rides but never got round to it.
its a Shimano octalink m442 chainset and what i need to know is this;
the "bolt" that holds that arm on can they be purchased,are they cheap,should i just take it to my LBS to sort it out?

i think! they are a std 8mm allen head crank bolt??
local LBS should have them for a couple of quid if that!Timmo.

Octalink crank bolts are oversize and not a normal 8mm allen key as I know to my cost. £5 for the pair from your LBSI've added a signature to prove it is still possible.0

^^ serves me right for not paying all that much attention to them when i took mine off then lol!

had my cranks off today for a clean etc and they are 10mm allen bolts! teach me for having a poor memory!Timmo.
