Ribble Winter Frame + 25mm tyres + Mudguards

I can't seem to get the 'guards to not rub on the tyres. I've got Vittoria Rubino Slicks in 25mm, which are apparantly taller, which I guess doesn't help, but if some people can get 28mm tyres to work with 'guards I must be going wrong somewhere.

Any tips?

I.ve got a Continental 25mm on the back of mine and it is ok. Have you had a fiddle with the position of the bolts on the stays?

I'm not sure what you mean, though the problem seems to be at the brake calipers.

I've got 06 Centaur Calipers, do they have the necessary clearance? Or am I trying to get something to work that won't work?

I got there eventually, it turned out to be a number of problems that were stopping me getting them sorted.

Very tight clearences with 25mm tyres caused all these to stump me:

    - front wheel ever so slightly out of true
    - rubber moulding tabs left on the tyre (made a right racket hitting the 'guards)
    - bolt holding rear drive side was about 1mm too long and was hitting the chain making a right noise.

After I'd discovered all that it went rather well...
