why a new topic? would not the history in your earlier topic of this morning help?as the hole have been caused by a snake bite and is close to the bead.

you can try patching or replacing the tyre.

over 40 I'v had problems with my specialised captains when sealing. 35 should work fine. The instructions say not to use 40+. Maybe try sealing it at a low pressure and then pump up later?

Plus maybe the quarter of a inch is the size of a hole caused by a quarter inch nail, not an actual quarter inch hole or tear, I mean thats about 6mm. I guess a hole caused cleanly by a nail would flap back in to a degree.

i had the same problem but found that if i let the tyre go flat while spining it then i pump it up with no problem. I have no idea how they got away with the stuff in the stans videos

A lot more sealent in the tyre than you would normally use probably.
