khamsin bearing replacement - how to?
ref the sealed bearings used on Campag Khamsin - Got the new bearings, expected to see some circlips but appears to be nothing to get hold off and can't work it out. Can't find any Campag manual for the hub, only the wheel itself. Someone out there must know!

I generally do all my own maintenence but I had to take mine to the bike shop as I couldn't figure it out. They took it out the back and worked their magic. But I didn't ask how so this is not really any help to you, sorry!0

Just a guess but you probably tap them out with a long punch from the other side.He is not the messiah, he is a very naughty boy !!0

Welcome to the forum
yes they are a press fit bearing. The LBS will have a hydraulic press probably .If not they would drift them out but take care to keep them square at all times working around the edge. If you hit on one side only you'll damage the bearing recess or hub.
Press the new bearings in with a vice ,make sure you press only on the outer case edge of the bearing . Youll need to use a short tube or a socket might do between the face of the vice and the bearing .
Or take it to the lbs and get rthem to do it for a fiver
ps do you have 928 by any chance ?0 -
I changed the bearings front and back in mine earlier in the year. You shouldn't need a press. On the front wheel there is a very small circlip that you need to remove. You will have to give them a good clean to be able to see it, it took a while for me to figure it out and there is no mention of it on the Campag website. The rear wheel has no circlip.
P.S When you remove the bearings you will see that at the factory the inner seals have been removed for some reason. This is not necessary with the new ones if you are replacing them with 6001 2RS bearings. The 2RS being 2 rubber seals.0
