Specialized Fast Trak Armadillo Elite Tire . This is what I am using as they came with the bike.
Panaracer Fire XC Pro. This is what everyone else seems to be using, including all my mates.
Can anyone tel me which tyre is best for which conditions?
I ride alot in the Peaks, and therefore through mud. I'm wondering if switching to Panaracers will help improve my ride. Then again I have never had a puncture with my Fast Traks, and I do push it a bit...

My problem with tyres like that are that the shoulders are too square - so on hard pack/tarmac surfaces, they suddenly let go when cornering.
The Fast Traks have much more rounded shoulders so roll more evently in corners and let go more progressively.
My Fast Traks are almost worn down so i'm also looking around but wouldn't mind a bit more mud grip - although they need to roll really fast on hard terrain.
Best option I've found so far in the Continental Mountain King but still not 100% sure.0 -
The Fire XC pros are perhaps the best all rounders I have used.
They grip well, roll reasonably well, are quite light, cheap from Merlins and are easy to get on and off Mavic rims. Streako
