Just try each set out on the same trail/ loop and see which one's suit your style of riding best.

Recommendations are all well and good but everybody's different. Each to their own. Just because somebody says "this" or "that" tyre is best doesn't mean that it is - it is just the best for them.

If you don't get on with one type - front wheel washes out, or rear wheel spins out in the dirt - try something else. You might even find that mixing your two sets up - fast trak on the rear (for more speed) and Fire on the front (more grip) - might be best (although it can sometimes look a little weird!!).

Don't be afraid to make your own decision.

If this helps at all, please tell me! If not, tell me anyway! Have fun finding out!!!

Forgot to say - if a tyre type doesn't suit straight away - try playing about with the pressures. 5psi this way or that can transform a tyres performance.

I completely agree with the above. Although Fast Traks may GENERALLY be a faster, lighter treaded tyre for dryer conditions, they may not suit your riding style or local terrain.

gott say here, i like riding fast and a little bit of a slither isnt a problem as i tend to do more belting round woods than downhilly stuff, but i have a fast trak on the front and really like it. coupled with the halo twin rail on the back i have my ideal fast rolling summer combo!

I find the panaracer good in muddy conditions myself. Don't know about the others.
