I am new to this game and need some advice regarding which bikes to look for and which to avoid.I am about 5"10 and I've got about £400-£500 to spend.

but then I am rather biased at the moment!!!
Seriously though I got my via nirone for £525 then 10% back in accessories so was able to get a nice pair of Specialized comp road shoes plus cleats plus the bike for £560 all in.
Might be worth a look if you fancy an italian head turner!!0 -

Its the wrong time of year really but Focus ( http://www.wiggle.co.uk) do really good offers with better kit than bikes like the Specilized or Giant especially the end of the season0
