E Bay, what is going on?

Has anyone worked out how to search on the new "improved" e bay. I used to search, as an example, for Hetchins, select the cycle catagory and then all my searches would be for that catagory only, that facility seems to have disapeared. So now if I'm searching for an Argos frame, it brings up masses of tat. Any ideas?

I've had a reply. If you prefer the old search you can click the "opt out" button on the search page until July, then the facility will end. Goodbye E Bay.0

Agreed it is crap.0

It makes searches long winded. It also means that it is harder to browse and stumble across stuff by accident. It's a rubbish way to go!0

Until the end of July you'll be able to this as and when you please, after this date the old search will be retired and all members will be migrated to the new version. As this is the case we'd recommend that use this time to familiarise yourself with the new version.
In other words, we think it's great so get used to it.
The new system just isn't logical, must have been designed by a womanOrange Clockwork 2007

Apparently it was designed by a Scotsman.

Oh no it's not. This will mean resetting the search after each item. It's a non starter.0

the new search wasn't designed for those looking for specialist items - it was designed to shift mp3 players and bit of electronics that form the bulk of the items listed.
It is a total PIA to use and I hope it seriously curtails my eBay spending habits :oops:0 -
Can smebody explain why it is cheaper to post an item from Hong Kong than it s from within the UK :? £2 Hong Kong and 7 days or £5 next day UK.I've added a signature to prove it is still possible.0

I searched for Phil Wood and found one item I was looking for, put it on the watch list only for the email to show me similar items that should come up in the same basic search
